1989	Marilyn Manson, the band, was formed when Manson joined up with guitarist Daisy Berkowitz and eventually added Gidget Gein on bass and Madonna Wayne-Gacy on keyboards. The band was formed on the intent of exploring the limits of censorship.

1990	The band's drum machine was replaced by a real, but poor drummer - Sara Lee Lucas.

1991	In the early 90s, Marilyn Manson began to get noticed around Florida with their sounds becoming more refined and distinct. The band began to sell their music on cassettes at various performances and record stores.
